Practical tips for peak performance without burnout

Build systems that work with human nature, not against it

Systems designed without considering human nature fail. Humans aren’t machines – we forget, get tired, make mistakes. Build systems that work with human nature, not against it.

One thing you could do this week to reduce friction and increase flow:

  • Individual’s Tip: Find one place where the system fights against human nature. Redesign it to work with people, not against them.
  • Team Leader Tip: Ask: “Where do our systems make life harder?” Fix the human-system friction points.
  • Executive Leader: Audit all systems for user experience. If people avoid using it, the system is the problem.
