You can have brilliant plans, but if your culture rewards different behavior, culture wins. A strategy of innovation fails in a culture that punishes mistakes. Align culture first.

One thing you could do this week to reduce friction and increase flow:

  • Individual’s Tip: Notice one mismatch between what’s preached and what’s practiced. Live the real values this week.
  • Team Leader Tip: Ask your team: “What do we say we value vs. what do we actually reward?” Fix one mismatch.
  • Executive Leader: Align rewards with stated values. If you value collaboration but reward competition, guess which wins?
